At Olympic Musical Instruments we have been building hurdy gurdies since 1988, when we began building a kit instrument that inspired us to build a more advanced model. Daniel Thonon has studied instrument building in Paris. In the last few years, he has built an incredible variety of instruments. He has participated in the construction of a giant Hurdy-Gurdy, part of a multimedia, rock project by the American composer Steve Jobe.
